The AChemS Award for Undergraduate Research is made to an undergraduate student member of AChemS who makes an outstanding presentation at the annual AChemS meeting. The award is $250, which is mailed to the recipient after the meeting. The award announcement is made at the following year's Welcome/Awards Ceremony
ELIGIBILITY
The applicant must be an undergraduate student at the time of abstract submission and must be a member of AChemS. The undergraduate student applicant must be the first author on the abstract and the presenter of the poster or talk that is being considered for the award.
HOW TO APPLY
All applications for the AchemS Award for Undergraduate Research Award should be submitted via the online abstract submission system. During the application process, you will be asked to upload a single PDF containing the following items:
1) A letter from the student, including a summary of the student’s contribution to the work, asking to be considered for the AChemS Award for Undergraduate Research.
2) A letter of recommendation from the student’s advisor supporting the nomination.
No more than two students from a laboratory will be considered for the award in any given year
